The 25th Annual Taste of Illinois Valley is set to run June 7th through June 10th at the Centennial Park in Peru. The Taste has been a popular event with area restaurants, free entertainment and fun for all ages.
The carnival is Todd Armstrong Shows from Texas with new
rides. The carnival begins on Thursday, June 7th at 6:00 pm.
Special arm bands are available for unlimited
rides through the weekend.
Presale on armbands will begin May 29th - June 3rd for $14.00 a ticket, normally
$20.00 at the Carnival. The ticket is good for one arm band for a 4 or 5 hour
period of unlimited rides. No refunds or rainouts; please present to carnival
ticket booth to get your armband. The YMCA has 700 pre-sale tickets available.

Entertainment begins with the Battle of the Bands on Thursday, June 7th.
Teen bands will battle it out for prizes on Thursday night. Top area
entertainment will continue all weekend with local bands donating time for the
Taste. Interested bands should contact Tom Ptak or Dave Potthoff at the YMCA at
815-223-7904.
Food vendors are from local restaurants. If you would like a booth, contact Dave
Potthoff or Joanne Sabotta at the YMCA. You can also open the PDF file below for
an application for the food booth.
The YMCA is also looking for local groups to help a few hours to volunteer to sell food or drinks.
