*All of these preschool classes begin in September and end in May, following a calendar year similar to Peru School District.

Registration fee and Tuition:

*There is a one month tuition due with registration which covers the final month of school.  No registrations accepted without fees and signed form.
*$15 registration  fee which is non-refundable
*Kinderprep (must be 4 yrs old by 9/1/10)
*Supertykes  (must be 3 yrs old by 9/1/10)
* Just for Twos  (must be 2 yrs old by 9/1/10)

Information:

• Parents will receive information packets in July
• All classes have 2 qualified instructors - 1 teacher and 1 assistant
• All class tuition payments are to be paid on the first day of each month. (For example: September tuition payments are due on Sept 1.

Requirements:

• Parents are required to provide physical exam records with all immunizations up to date.
• Lead screening & TB tests are required by the State of Illinois
• New records must be provided each year and must be signed by the physician.

PRESCHOOL ENRICHMENT

YMCA preschool classes stress socialization, learning, and fun. The structured classes address each child's unique gift and abilities. Class size is limited with 2 teachers. Teachers are caring, warm and patient, with educational credentials and/or equivalent teaching experience.

KINDER PREP

A super class for 4 year olds! The curriculum emphasizes school readiness skills such as numbers, shapes, and the alphabet which is introduced by the "Letter People". Many "hands on" experiences are available to promote fine motor skills. Also included are "tumbling and swimming days" to enhance gross motor skills. Our teachers strive to insure the best experience for children who much be 4 years old by September 1, 2010 (NO EXCEPTIONS).

Kinder Prep 1: (4-5 year olds) Mon.- Thur., 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., Fee: $100 monthly
Kinder Prep 2: (4-5 year olds) Mon./Wed./ Fri., 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Fee: $82 monthly
Kinder Prep 3: (4-5 year olds) Mon/Wed/ Fri., 12:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Fee: $82 monthly
*KinderPrep includes swim & tumble days

SUPERTYKES

This class offers just what your 3 year old needs - a class that provides readiness skills such as color/shape recognition, counting, an introduction to the alphabet and fine & gross motor skills implemented through age-appropriate activities. Our Supertykes meet on a variety of days and include "swim days" and tumbling days! The children must be 3 years old by September 1, 2008, (NO EXCEPTIONS).

Supertykes I: (3 year olds) (4 days M, T, W, TH), 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m., Fee: $83 monthly
Supertykes 2: (3 year olds) (3 days M, W, F), 10:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m., Fee: $76 monthly
Supertykes 3: (3 year olds) (3 days M, W, F),1:00 pm-3:00 pm., Fee: $76 monthly
*SuperTykes includes occasional swim days

JUST FOR TWOS

A class "just for 2 year olds" that is filled with fun and socialization. Activities are designed to satisfy curiosity and to help develop fine and gross motor skills. Caring teachers and a great atmosphere are also included.  Children must be 2 years old by September 1, 2008 (NO EXCEPTIONS).

Just For Twos 1: (2 year olds) T/TH., 9:00 a.m.-10:00 am, Fee: $42 monthly
Just For Twos 2: (2 year olds) T/TH.., 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., Fee: $42 monthly
Just for Twos 3: (2 year olds) T/TH., 12:00 p.m..-1:00 p.m., Fee: $42 monthly
*Not necessary to be toilet trained, but we do not change diapers

Cooking With Kids

Your child will enjoy creating and eating what they cook!

Jump & Jive at the "Y"

Keep the children moving with music and exercise! Learning new songs and familiar songs, a snack will be provided.

Story Land

Children will be introduced to age appropriate stories. Each story will have an art project to go with it. A snack will be provided.

YMCA Healthy Kids Day

Join the movement in showcasing the Y's support for community health by celebrating the nations largest health day for children and families. Saturday, April 17, 2010.

Holiday Camps! School's Out!

The program operates from 8:00am - 4:00pm at the Illinois Valley YMCA. Students enrolled in K - 5th grade may participate.

YMCA Babysitting service

The YMCA babysitting area features a safe, fun environment that is air conditioned, with toys and caring leadership.

The babysitting area is open and supervised free of cost to all YMCA members and class participants. Youngsters are allowed to stay up to TWO HOURS PER DAY while parents are on the YMCA premises and using YMCA facilities. Children must be at least 6 months old. 

Babysitting hours:

Monday - Friday            9:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
Saturday                         9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Children must be at least 6 months of age
Parent(s) must stay on YMCA premises
No Sunday hours are available
