The Illinois Valley YMCA Masters Swimming Team is home for fitness swimmers, triathletes, and competitive swimmers who range in age from 19 to ??.Our swimmers range in ability from nationally competitive swimmers to people just starting a fitness program.

We swim in the Illinois Valley YMCA Link Aquatic Center, the finest pool in Peru, Illinois . Our workouts are a mixture of coached & uncoached and our swimmers are friendly and enthusiastic.  There are practices almost every day. You pick and choose the times that fit into your schedule. Swim as much or as little as you like. Participants should be comfortable swimming at least a few hundred yards continuously using the freestyle (crawl) stroke. Experience with other competitive strokes is welcomed, but not required.
