Take advantage of the free opportunity to regularly monitor your blood pressure. Free screenings are available through IVCH and St. Margaret's Hopitals at the YMCA. In addition, the YMCA has a computerized Health Monitor Center that measures blood pressure, located in the Wellness Center.
A true measure of leanness is your percentage of body fat - not the old height and weight charts. Complete computerized body composition analysis is a great way to check your success before, during, and after your workout. See the personal trainer on staff.
Fee: Free for YMCA Member, $5 for Non-Y Member
The YMCA has a Walking Club for YMCA members and Prime Time
participants. The club charts daily walking totals, and awards
walkers for miles attained. This has been a popular activity at the
YMCA track. The track features include a synthetic surface that is
easy on your body and fun to walk or jog on. Miles
are kept track of and if you would like to see how many miles you or anyone in
the club walks, click on the link below.
