Children At The YMCA

For their own safety, children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a parent at all times when using the YMCA facility, unless in a supervised YMCA program. Children under age 6 may accompany a parent into opposite sex locker room if closely supervised. Those age 6 and up must use the same sex locker room. No children allowed in adult locker rooms.

YMCA Baby-sitting Service

The YMCA baby-sitting area features a safe, fun environment that is air conditioned, with toys and caring leadership. The baby-sitting area is open and supervised free of cost to all YMCA members, guests and class participants.  Youngsters are allowed to stay up to two hours per day while parents are on the YMCA premises and using YMCA facilities.
 

IMPORTANT NON-NEGOTIABLE RULE

Parent/guardian must show and leave photo ID before leaving youngster(s) in babysitting. Photo ID can consist of membership card/ drivers license, etc. If you are not a member, you must leave drivers license or another valid photo ID. Only the person leaving the youngster, may pick the youngster up from the babysitting room. This is strictly enforced. Babysitting Hours are:

M-F   9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Saturday  9:00 - 11:00 a.m.

No babysitting services on Sundays
