It’s a call to action, offering primetime programming and extensive outreach tools to help people aspire toward better health. On February 14 at 7:30 pm the Illinois Valley YMCA will host a viewing party for adults and teens. The viewing party will include healthy cooking tips, recipes and food samples. Thirty minutes of brisk water walking equals one hour of land walking. Using the resistance of the water, water walking can burn calories and strengthen your cardiovascular muscles while toning the rest of your body. Drop-in with a friend & come join us! Membership or guest pass fees apply. YMCA Skate Park Today, there are more than 350 skate parks across the country. Every community and nearly every town is looking for ways to keep the skateboard crowd busy and safe. The Illinois Valley YMCA was ahead of the trend and built an exciting park on YMCA property. Through funds from the State of Illinois and numerous private donors, nearly 300-400 kids utilize the park on a daily basis when weather allows. Another innovation of the Illinois Valley YMCA meeting community needs. Better to do something imperfectly than to do nothing flawlessly. Today's decisions are tomorrow's realities We make a living by what we get, but we make a life
by what we give. Never let a problem become an excuse. Think you can, think you can't, either way you'll be
right.
